Eligibility
- Programs where all ages are eligible
- Must be a victim of a violent crime in British Columbia
- Be physically or psychologically injured as a result of the crime
- Applicants must submit application within one year of incident (with some exceptions)
What Devices are Covered?
- Mobility aids
- Communication aids
- Vision aids
- Prosthetics and orthotics
- Other equipment or supplies
What Services are Available?
- Replacement of damaged or destroyed disability aids
- Benefits to offset financial loss and assist in recovery from injuries
- There is no maximum amount per claim
Procedure for Getting Access
- A CVAP specific consultant must set up referrals with appropriate health professionals
- Three required are needed per device
