What Services are Available?
- Specialized assistive technology programs include: Augmentative and Alternative Communication Clinic (AAC), Environmental Aids for Daily Living (EADL) Program, Gait Robotics Program, and Seating and Mobility Clinic
- Assessment and training
- Help with applying to programs for funding
Procedure for Getting Access
- Patients may be referred from across the province or country from acute care hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, community service providers, directly from family physician, or home care allied health professional
- Funded to provide care for people with ALS, MS, Parkinson's and stroke, but will provide services to clients with neurological conditions
- Some programs are fee-for-service
- Access procedures may vary depending on the Assistive Technology Clinic attended
