- Services on an "as needed" basis to ALS clients in Newfoundland and Labrador
- If the client has no health benefits, ALS Newfoundland and Labrador may be able to provide appropriate equipment
What Devices are Covered?
- Manual wheelchairs with gel pads/cushions
- Electric hospital beds
- Liftout recliner chairs
- Walkers, including Rollators
- Suction machines
- Safety rails/bathroom assists
- Mechanical patient lifts/slings
- Does not supply feeding tube or communication aids
Procedure for Getting Access
- Equipment must be recommended by a health care professional through a prescription/requisition form
